Milk thistle, also known as Silybum marianum , is an herb with purple, thistle-shaped flowers and white marbled leaves. It belongs to the Asteraceae family , also known as the daisy family. Its fruits contain silymarin, a mixture of secondary plant substances. The main components are silydianin and isosilybin.
The powder contained in our capsules is obtained from sun-dried milk thistle seeds, which are gently ground. No further production steps are required in the manufacture of the powder.
