Although the body can produce it itself with the help of UV radiation, many people in our latitudes have insufficient vitamin D levels. This is primarily because during the winter, not enough sunlight reaches our skin to produce the vitamin. Supplementation is therefore recommended, especially during the cold months.
Our high-dose vitamin D3 is obtained from sheep's wool wax, which is created as a by-product of shearing the animals. Cholesterol is extracted from this wax and converted in a synthetic process into cholecalciferol, the most important physiological form of vitamin D3 for our body.The product is based on cold-pressed sunflower oil. Combined with the integrated pipette attachment, the vitamin D3 oil can be easily dosed into prepared foods without impairing their flavor. Ideally, this should be a meal containing fat.
