Colostrum is the first milk produced by mammals and used to nourish young animals during the first few days after birth. To meet the high nutritional needs of infants, colostrum is significantly richer than regular milk. Therefore, colostrum is a unique and natural blend.
For our colostrum capsules, we use exclusively milk from sheep raised on organic Swiss farms. Compared to cow's milk, sheep's colostrum contains a lower total protein content, which is particularly important for allergy sufferers. After the young animals have been fed, the animals' colostrum is pasteurized at 63°C and then gently dried. During this process, the lactose is hydrolyzed, making the final product lactose-free.
