Colostrum is the first milk produced by mammals to nourish young animals in the first few days after birth. To meet the high nutritional needs of infants, colostrum is significantly more nutrient-dense than regular milk. Colostrum is therefore a unique and natural blend.
For our colostrum capsules, we use exclusively sheep milk raised on organic Swiss farms. Compared to cow's milk, sheep's milk contains less total protein, which is especially important for allergy sufferers. After the young animals have suckled, the colostrum is pasteurized at 63°C and then gently dried. During this process, the lactose is hydrolyzed, making the final product lactose-free.
