Organic Milk Thistle Drops

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a plant with purple, thistle-like flowers and white marbled leaves. It belongs to the daisy family, also known as the Asteraceae family. Its fruits contain silymarin, a mixture of secondary plant substances. The main components are silybin and isosilybin.
Our organic milk thistle drops contain an alcoholic extract from the seeds and fruits of the milk thistle. These are hand-harvested and processed directly from the organically certified fields of Venice, Italy. The entire fruiting body of the milk thistle undergoes a gentle maceration.

The mixing ratios for alcoholic extracts are usually calculated based on the dry mass of the plants used. Our organic milk thistle drops achieve a ratio of 1:10. However, since our product is made from fresh plants and not from dry mass, significantly more plants are required for production.
